Yeah, yeah, I know - it's not a Mopar, or even a car. But it is old and kind of neat. It's something else that I have long had love for, and funny enough, something I've never gotten to mess with since I really got my bearings as a mechanic.
It's been about a decade since I stupidly laid over my last classic Japanese bike - a 1972 Honda CB750 - and nearly found out what the underside of a Toyota Tundra feels like the hard way. That put a bit of a damper on the motorcycle thing for me for quite a while, as it turns out I really enjoy being alive. I traded that bike for a 1973 Dodge Dart Swinger, and stuck with four wheels for a long time.
But for the last couple years, I've been itching to find another small bike to mess around with. So imagine my surprise and delight when this Honda magically showed up in need of some help. And even better, someone already ruined it and started a cafe racer type build, which is something else I've always had an interest in. Anyway, let's dig in and see what's what on this little Honda twin.
