📍Long Point Provincial Park is Ontario's fourth oldest park!

1️⃣ If you plan on camping, this park has 3 campgrounds in the 'new park' (Monarch’s Rest, Firefly and Turtle Dunes Campgrounds) and 1 campground in the old park (Cottonwood campground). We stayed in turtles dunes on a non electric site and really loved how private our site was! Not all site are private though so checking the photos is key when booking.

2️⃣ Long Point gets its name because it's a 40km long sandspit (aka. a long point). If you're a beach lover, this park has more than 1.5km of sandy beaches along lake Erie.

3️⃣ This park is located within a a designated world biosphere reserve. This means that this area has been internationally recognized for taking actions to balance conservation initiatives with sustainable development.

4️⃣ It's an excellent park for birding, boating, and fishing. You'll find part of the park nestled beside marsh land.

5️⃣ This park is home to many different species of plants and animals. It actually has more endangered species per-capita than the rest of Canada, and the highest densities of wildlife in all of Canada.
