From 8 September to 12 October 2025, Gardens by the Bay’s Flower Dome transforms into a vivid slice of Switzerland with Alpine Adventure: Starring Begonias — the first showcase here to reimagine the country’s wild alpine landscapes in summer.

🌸 A Floral Ode to the Alps
1. Over 50 varieties of alpine and seasonal plants recreate the layered textures and colours of Swiss meadows.
2. The stars are begonias in brilliant shades of red, pink, and white, echoing the blooms that spill from the balconies of Swiss chalets3.
3. Cultivated to tropical conditions, these begonias are larger and showier than their alpine cousins — some blossoms reaching 10cm across.

🏔 Iconic Swiss Landmarks & Culture
1. Matterhorn Welcome – A striking recreation of the world’s most photographed mountain greets visitors.
2. Zürich’s St. Peter’s Church – Famous for Europe’s largest clock face.
3. Fraumünster Church – Celebrated for its ethereal Chagall stained-glass windows.
4. Glacier Express Cabin – Step inside a replica of the “slowest yet most beautiful train in the world” with panoramic windows3.
5. Gornergrat Railway – Board a golden cabin of the world’s first fully electrified cogwheel line.
6. Geneva’s Flower Clock – Reimagined at 3 metres wide, with nearly 1,000 begonias forming its face.

🎨 Folk Traditions & Sensory Touches
1. Swiss papercutting art displayed in rustic wooden huts.
2. An alphorn — the long wooden instrument once used to call across valleys.
3. Olfactory jars offering scents of the alpine outdoors.
