The only royal arena for elephant vs tiger fights in South East Asia. As elephants represented the might of the royal military, the tigers were usually intentionally injured and weakened before the fight to ensure the elephant would win. The viewing terrace was heightened after a tiger almost jumped to reach the spectators in one of the fights. Last fight was held here in 1914.
