The exhibition "We have known each other for a long time…” showcased Poland's relations with Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein through the lens of the State Archives' collections and projects realized thanks to the #EEANorwayGrants
It was a fascinating journey through time. The Polish State Archives uncovered documents in their collections, some even hundreds of years old, that attest to the bonds connecting us with these three countries. Each document told a story about our relations. We carefully selected them, grouped them into 11 themes and presented them in the exhibition. For each theme concerning our historical ties, examples of Poland's cooperation with Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway from the last several years were included, thus linking history with the present.
The exhibition was mobile. From February to June, it visited 6 major Polish cities, staying for two weeks in each:
Katowice (February 28 - March 13, Plac Kwiatowy)
Kraków (March 21 - April 3, Plac Szczepański)
Warsaw (April 11 - April 24, Krakowskie Przedmieście, near St. Anne's Church)
Poznań (April 30 - May 13, Plac Wolności)
Gdańsk (May 23 - June 5, Targ Węglowy, near Brama Wyżynna)
Wrocław (June 13 - June 26, Plac Solny)
Exhibition’s goal was to promote the EEA and Norway Grants and Poland's relations with Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway, the countries that granted these funds to Poland.
