We 3D‑Printed the Black Knight for Halloween (with a Working Blood Pump!)

⚡ “Just a flesh wound?” Challenge accepted. We built the Monty Python Black Knight with a 3D‑printed helmet and sword—and a hidden, hand‑pumped blood squirter you can print at home.

🔬 In this video, we cover:
✅ Finding the models fast: helmet & sword (Printables), “wound” (Thingiverse), plus our tweaks in Blender.
✅ The blood effect: 3D‑printed syringe, 6 mm tube, and a soft 60A TPU seal for that satisfying “pop.”
✅ Assembly & fixes: alignment pegs, CA glue, and 2‑part filler to hide seams and warping.
✅ Sanding without melting PLA: why a detail sander beats a rotary sander for flat finish.
✅ Paint stack for aged steel look: filler primer → chrome base → light gold mist → black wash & oil → scuffs/scratches with a sponge, plus subtle “rust” accents.
✅ Tunic shortcut: cut the boar in vinyl and heat‑press—faster and cleaner than printing on fabric.
