A Critical Encounter – Quest Ring Part #1 | Assassin’s Creed Shadows × Critical Role Crossover (4K)

🏯 Opening Showcase – Custom Hideout Ideas
At the beginning of the video (0:00), I first showcase three of my custom Hideout ideas, blending functionality, symbolism, and immersion before the quest begins:

1) Naoe’s Tunnels (0:01) (Engawa Roof Corridors)
My first hideout concept is what I call Naoe’s Tunnels—a network of roof corridors used to silently connect one room to another.
These corridors are known as Engawa, lined on both sides with bamboo fencing, creating a stealth-friendly pathway that feels perfect for an Assassin moving unseen across the hideout.

2) Balance Between Chaos and Order (0:07)
The second concept is a symbolic layout I call “Balance Between Chaos and Order.”

It features:
Two Komainu statues facing one another
A Sekitō statue placed in the center, resembling stacked, pyramid-like stones balancing atop one another
Behind these statues stands a Buddha statue, symbolizing the people, peace, and the calm presence caught between opposing forces. This arrangement reflects the constant struggle between order and chaos within the world of Assassin’s Creed.

3) The Cattle Pen (0:11)
The third hideout idea is a functional cattle pen, created using: Bamboo fencing, a wooden gate, and Five oxen, each supported by five hay supplies, forming small hay shelters where the oxen can rest beneath

To complete the setup, I also include a Chōzuya water station, providing a clean and immersive water supply for the oxen.

A Critical Encounter Part#1:

In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, A Critical Encounter is a special Critical Role crossover quest that pulls Naoe and Yasuke into a chilling conspiracy orchestrated by the Templar Order.

This quest ring begins at the hideout and follows Rufino as he uncovers a dark plot to murder innocent civilians and replace them (2:49), destabilizing entire communities from the shadows.

🔥 Quest Ring – Part #1 Overview
In Part #1, I take on the opening phase of the quest by infiltrating a massive Templar ship off the port of Sakai, blending stealth and combat (3:18)

Kunai
The NEW Bo Staff weapon, showcasing sweat combat moves, brutal combos, and stylish finishers (4:13)-(11:34)

Every enemy aboard the ship is fully eliminated, and all research crates—representing the Templars’ inhuman experiments—are completely destroyed to halt their plans. I also loot every chest on board, leaving nothing behind.

After clearing the ship, a coded letter reveals a critical lead: (12:12)

“This is an assignment from the Builder to the Contractor, requiring proof of death to be delivered to the Bamboo Cutters Camp.”
This discovery launches the Seta River Killers target ring, where the true hunt begins.

🎯 Targets Eliminated in Part #1

The Builder (14:03 - 18:59)
A powerful lumberyard boss who knew what it took to secure the toughest jobs.
Like the bamboo in her groves, she too fell to a single slash of the blade.

The Tormentor (19:09 - 21:58)
A sadistic hired killer who toyed with his victims for amusement.

Serving under someone known as The Exterminator came as no surprise.

I track him south-east of the Church of Takatsuki, assassinating him in one precise strike—saving an innocent life seconds before execution.

⚔️ What Comes Next
Part #1 concludes here, setting the stage for Part #2, where the hunt for the remaining Seta River Killers continues.

The next targets:
The Stalker
The Collector
Their elimination leads to the full unraveling of the Templar plot and the completion of the quest ring.

Completing A Critical Encounter ultimately unlocks Rufino as a playable ally for both Naoe and Yasuke, expanding combat and stealth options moving forward.
