Nettles is one of the most fascinating characters in the Dance of Dragons, mostly because of the fact that she is so mysterious and enigmatic. Even the chroniclers of the Dance are uncertain about her origins and they are baffled about her ability to tame a wild dragon like Sheepstealer, especially since her appearance defies their beliefs about how only those with Valyrian blood can control and bind dragons to their will. So how did Nettles do it??? Was she a secret bastard or did she really bind Sheepstealer with persistence and cunning??? In this video, I explore the mysterious life of Nettles a little bit more to try and answer some of these questions.
