How to Use a Metronome in Occupational Therapy Sessions

In this supervision session, Dave discusses different ways to use a metronome app in occupational therapy sessions to strengthen rhythm and timing for children.

Helping children to achieve accurate rhythm and timing in their movements can be an important goal area within paediatric occupational therapy. Metronomes are great tools to add to therapy sessions because they can help aid as an auditory cue for children to help with increased precision in their timing and sequencing movements. Join Dave and some of the MoveAbout therapists as they discuss different ways to use a metronome beat to target different goal areas.

We usually use a beat of 54 beats per minute when we do metronome activities, but this will be altered for specific children or activities!
