This is a demonstration of the matching procedure our laboratory uses to create a match to the sound quality of a cochlear implant. The participant has single sided deafness with normal hearing in one ear and a cochlear implant in the other. She listens to simulations in her normal hearing ear until we fine tune it to sound like her cochlear implant. Please note: our typical set up uses a direct connect cable to play sound to the cochlear implant. In this instance, headphones were used due to technical limitations.
