What can you get for $100 on Facebook Marketplace? How about the start of a dream build. In this video, I pick up a Knapheide service body utility bed and take a grinder to it — chopping out a massive section to make it fit my short bed truck. Originally built for a long bed, this beast needed serious modification to become the foundation of my next big project: the Sierralander.

The Sierralander is my vision for a rugged, functional overland rig — part camper, part adventure machine. Eventually, I’ll be building a fully enclosed topper to turn this utility box into a custom camping setup. But for now, I’m rolling with a rooftop tent and a whole lot of ambition.
