A research team at Fudan University in China has successfully developed the world's first #processor chip made from molybdenum disulfide as a semiconductor alternative to silicon. This material is extremely thin, allowing the creation of #chips with a thickness of no more than 1 nanometer, hence it is referred to as two-dimensional.
