In this talk, architect Pedro Aibéo presents the Gamified Cohousing model and argues that the most effective form of circular economy in construction is the reuse and adaptation of existing buildings, not demolition and replacement. Drawing on real projects across Finland, the presentation explores participatory renovation, self-managed communities, and the systemic barriers that still block circular practices, including bureaucratic rigidity, fragmented governance, and insurance risk aversion.
