Let me set the scene…
I had just ministered two selections and I had taken my seat. Pastor gets up and shares his thanks for my being with them that weekend in Worship. Then before he gets started sharing the Word, this is what happens…
Pastor Powell- (looking at me from the stage) “Do you remember the first solo you played at church?”
Me- (still sweating and gathering myself) “Yes Sir, it was Going Up Yonder”
Pastor Powell- (looks at the AZamar band) “Y’all know that, right?”
Me- (Already grabbing my horn, because I know where this is going)
