Before the days of Contemporary Christian, Word relied a lot on popular performers such as Burl and others to do albums for them. Hey, I love Carman, Amy Grant, and others who were on the Word roster in the 70's and beyond. I still listen to them, too. I just wish Word, or whoever actually owns it, would go back to the master tapes and give us these early releases in a digital format. The original vinyl isn't always easy to come by.
I've had this one in my possession for a number of years (got it on eBay), and I would've swore someone had uploaded the album. I'm on a #BurlIves kick of late, so I ran this through last night and did some restoration work on it. It's still a bit rough in the high end, but I figure having SOMETHING beats NOTHING any day. If any of y'all have a better version, feel free to upload it-you won't be hurting my feeling!
