L’édifice actuel a été construit sur la base d'un édifice plus ancien et date principalement de la fin du XIIIe siècle. Il a probablement connu des épisodes complémentaires aux XIVe et XVe siècles.
La paroisse dépend alors du diocèse de Langres, et passe ensuite sous l'autorité du diocèse de Dijon lors de la création de ce dernier en 1731.
L'église est relativement épargnée pendant la Révolution française.
Différentes campagnes de restauration ont lieu au XIXe, au début et à la fin du XXe siècles.
L'église Saint-Aignan est inscrite monument historique par arrêté du 11 mars 1932.

The current building was constructed on the basis of an older structure and mainly dates from the late 13th century. It likely underwent additional changes in the 14th and 15th centuries.
The parish then belonged to the Diocese of Langres, and later came under the authority of the Diocese of Dijon when it was established in 1731.
The church was relatively spared during the French Revolution.
Various restoration campaigns took place in the 19th century, at the beginning and end of the 20th century.
Saint-Aignan Church was registered as a historical monument by decree on March 11, 1932.
