Wicked: The Unofficial Virtual Cast Recording is a virtual music production where a cast of fans from around the world have gathered together virtually to record the soundtrack from the Tony award winning musical, Wicked! It is an audio only production where the cast has recorded all 22 songs from the Original Broadway Cast Recording of Wicked (as well as a couple from the show itself!) as a fun project to be uploaded to YouTube. Some of the songs include “No One Mourns the Wicked”, "Popular", and “Defying Gravity”. Each cast member has sent in audio recordings of them performing their characters’ songs to have them mixed together to create a full ensemble recording of the show. The production is non-profit and community based, with rights acquired through YouTube’s streaming agreements with the creators of the soundtrack. This production is in no way affiliated with the Broadway production, or any other professional production and is simply done by a cast of fans that love the music and want to spread their love for the show.
