What if we told you that there was a laptop out there almost as sleek and slim as a MacBook Pro without an abysmal repairability score? Well, say hello to the new Dell XPS 15.
It’s portable, stylish, powerful, it has an SD card reader, and--spoiler alert--it tops the repairability score charts. There’s just one potential downside … it won’t run macOS Catalina. Though, maybe that’s a good thing?
Dell and HP have been quietly making repairable laptops for years, but they don’t usually garner that much attention because they struggle to match Apple’s build quality and feature list. That is changing, though. The XPS laptops have been making small waves for the last few years, and this year’s updated XPS 15 is finally worthy of a proper teardown treatment.
