ও সে আঁখি না পাখি গো
রাই ইতি-উতি চায়
কভু তমাল-বনে কভু কদম-তলায়।
রাই শত ছলে ধীরে পথ চলে কভু কন্টক বেঁধে চরণে
তবু যে কাঁটা-লতায় আঁচল জড়ায় বেণী খুলে যায় অকারণে।
গিয়ে যমুনার তীরে চায় ফিরে ফিরে আনমনে ব'সে গণে ঢেউ
চকিতে কলসি ভরি’লয় তার যেই মনে হয় আসে কেউ।
হায় হায় কেউ আসে না
“ভোলো অভিমান রাধারানী” বলি’ শ্যাম এসে সম্ভাষে না।
রাই চলিতে পারে না পথ আর,
বিরস বদন অলস চরণ শূন্য-কলসি লাগে ভার।
বলি,কালা নাহি এলো যমুনা তো ছিল লইয়া শীতল কালো জল।
কেন ডুবিয়া সে-কলে উঠিলি আবার কাঁদায়ে ভাসাতে ধরাতল।।
