5th generation Honda Prelude replica with two 4 cylinder engines coupled with two 5-speed manual transmissions producing a total power of 400 hp at a weight of 2820 lbs.
Comes with a high strength tube chassis designed in CAD, tested on and off the track, 53/47 weight distribution, and improved AWD traction achieved through a set of sticky Toyo tires.
Acceleration is synchronized by a single pedal connected to two independently adjustable throttle cables.
Power transfer is synchronized by two identical adjustable master clutch cylinders attached to a single pedal.
Gear selection is synchronized by a single shifter linked to a set of push/pull cables.
The vehicle is setup to be operated with the front engine for regular driving while the rear engine coasts in neutral with the option to operate both engines simultaneously.
A second key attached to a titanium quick release can easily start the rear engine on the fly to double the power and traction.
In dual engine mode, 0-60 mph on the street can be easily achieved in about 3.7 seconds on cold tires.
The chassis was designed with forced induction in mind, however the naturally aspirated, reliable, and undisturbed nature of two OEM engines yields plenty of power for practical use while retaining the characteristics and feel of the original vehicle.
The chassis was designed around two donor vehicles purchased in 2008 and analyzed using 3D CAD.
The vehicle has been tested on a racing track and on the road, and presented at a Daimler car show resulting in an engineering award.
Over 20 years of mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineering experience has been poured into this build with attention to detail and a focus on functionality and simplicity.
All welds were performed by a certified welder and checked by a certified welding inspector.
