Win Hill dominates the central Hope Valley above Bamford. It is visible from Stanage Edge, from Kinder and from the Hope Valley itself. From Yorkshire Bridge this route walks in a large zig-zag through the forest and onto the summit of Win Hill, in the mist. A pleasant walk along the ridge, Hope Brink, to Wooler Knoll, before descending to Ladybower Reservoir. It is then a good walk along the track around the reservoir taking in the autumn colours.
