Since the "Yellow" in this song has ambiguous meaning, or no meaning at all (depending on what interview you refer to), I wondered how the song would sound without it...
Wikipedia refers to an interview of Chris Martin on the Howard Stern show, summarizing Martin as saying that the "yellow" in his lyrics has no meaning, and failing to find a word to replace it, it just sort of fit phonetically. I don't agree with Wikipedia's summation upon listening to the interview segment that was cited, as Martin says "it was a feeling more than a meaning", which to me qualifies as meaning... but nevertheless, here's the song with "yellow" cut out.
