After recovering the fragment of Narchuil, Marcellene has returned to Elrond who bids her speak to Aragorn about her encounter with his ancestor. While Aragorn is grateful for the news, he puts that matter aside and sends her to Laerdan.

Now Laerdan asks for her aid in preparing for the next stage of his journey. But since when did Marcellene become his servant?
