The Beatles clearly had much love for Little Richard’s Long Tall Sally. The song was a constant in their setlist, originating in their Quarrymen period and remaining in their repertoire through the height of Beatlemania. Appropriately, the song served as the close to their final official concert at Candlestick Park. Given how often the band played through this live favorite, it’s not surprising that their official recording was completed in a single take.
