The DSC PGP9986 is a PowerG+ flood and freeze sensor that works with both the IQ4 panels and the IQ Pro. For full compatibility, make sure your panel firmware is up-to-date — version 4.6.1 or higher for IQ4 panels, and version 4.4.1n or higher for the IQ Pro.

There are many reasons you might need to default your sensor:
Troubleshooting programming issues
Moving the sensor to a different panel
Resolving unusual behavior or false alerts
No matter the reason, the reset process is quick and simple - it only takes a few seconds to complete. If the Water Tile has been programmed with a panel, it should also be deleted from the panel either before or after the sensor default. Once that's been done, it's ready to program back into the panel, or with a different panel.
Some insurance companies may require flood and/or freeze protection. In some cases, having this protection and letting your insurance agent know can get you a discount on homeowner's insurance that quickly allows this investment to pay for itself. Check with your insurance agent today!
