After Memphis was the last one standing in a 100 point shoot out with Cincinnati, they experience a much stronger defense in USF. The Bulls were able to hang with Memphis for the first half before the Tigers came out of half time with a successful onsides kick.

If USF had been able to play a little more offense, they would have kept the game competitive, but the Tigers went up 2 touchdowns with about 10 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

The Bulls are just not built to score more than 1 touchdown in a quarter and were too far behind to close the gap. Memphis had a chance to close the game with only a couple minutes left on the clock, but were unable to convert a first down and the Bulls used both remaining time outs to get the ball back with about 44 seconds left in the game. 2 plays latter, Flowers through an interception and Memphis took a knee.

Memphis is off with a 5-0 start. The Bulls, while showing big improvement over last season, are still searching for an offense to match their good defense.
