WALKING in a DUTCH CITY: Gorinchem

Let's take a walk in the dutch city of Gorinchem (also known as Gorkum), located in the province of Zuid-Holland on the rivers Linge and Boven-Merwede.
Gorinchem probably originated around the year 1000 and developed as a fortified town. In the center of Gorinchem lies the well-preserved medieval town with its city walls. In 2021, Gorinchem was voted "the most beautiful fortified town in the Netherlands."
