Ferret Proofing my Midwest Critter Nation Cage

After 8 years of owning ferrets, I have to Ferret Proof my Midwest Critter Nation Cage.

My new baby ferret, Crash and my 3 year old ferret Oscar have decided climbing the cage daily is super fun. But it’s dangerous and I’ve already been through a ferret that broke his arm, and I don’t want that to happen again. Weasel broke his humerus in 2018 when he jumped from a bathroom trashcan that was 16” off the ground. He was a baby and he ended up with an external pin in his arm for 7 weeks., thankfully he was ok when it was all said and done, but I’d like to prevent any future broken bones if possible.

I found this Art3d 5-Pack of 24×36" PET/Plexiglass Sheets on Amazon for pretty cheap, much cheaper than a broken bone or surgery. It can be cut pretty easily and it worked great to stop the climbing!
