Lauren loves to create an open floor plan. Removing of all the walls (SAFELY) gives that wow factor when you walk into a house...even if it gives Scott major heart burn.
How much does it cost to remove a load bearing wall? In this video we break things down for you and give you some pointers if you want to take on this project by yourself.
Please NOTE: even if you're a skilled DIYer you should still consult with a licensed contractor before swinging that sledgehammer. They may notice something you didn't like that HVAC
ductwork that you didn't know was there. Or that water line that now has to be relocated. These two scenarios may break your budget or create a much bigger headache.
All that being said, there’s nothing like hearing a potential homeowner walk in to one of our houses and hear them say OMG, this is way bigger than it looks from the outside. That’s the power of taking out walls and opening things up. It usually is worth the sweat and blood that this endeavor requires.
