I grew up in Poland, where small talk with strangers is not really expected, so when I started traveling and living abroad, especially in the US, the UK, Canada, and Spain small talk felt confusing and uncomfortable to me

In this video, I share why I had to learn small talk, how cultural differences shape communication and speaking confidence, and how I learned to do small talk in English without changing who I am

This is not about being fake or extroverted. It is about understanding American small talk, Slavic and Eastern European communication styles, and why silence can sometimes be seen as rude even when it is not.
