The first webinar focuses on phonemic and phonological awareness and explores how students learn to isolate and manipulate different sounds. We will provide fun multi-sensory activities and resources that parents and teachers can use to help their readers develop these foundational skills. Our guest speaker, Kathleen Law, brings 13 years of experience as a first-grade teacher. She has an M.A. in Education and is a certified Orton-Gillingham (OG) instructor through the Institute of Multisensory Education (IMSE). Kathleen will be joined by our co-host, Janet Pedrazzi, a Kindergarten teacher with more than 20 years of experience grounded in the science of reading, an M.S in Elementary Education and Reading, a current doctoral student in Educational Leadership and the Director of Academic Content for Lexplore, Inc.
