In this video I tackle a small home improvement project.
Our house is heated via radiant floor heat and an external boiler.
Decades ago this house used to be heated with a furnace in the basement.
The chimney isn't flashed proper anymore and when it rains it's leaking into the roof. I'm removing the chimney in this video and repair the roof with new tin.
This repair only has to last a few years. Eventually we'll change the slope of the roof and extend the house to have a bigger living area; also, the tin will be replaced with concealed fasteners in the future.
