Sound Deadening, Carpet And Wiring OH MY! - 1955 Chevy Nomad is Dazzled In New Parts!

It's the shot gun approach of new parts going in this old rig.
Step 1 was to apply sound deadener from tip to tail. I picked up some cheap 5mm stuff off Amazon. It is time consuming to install but makes a HUGE difference with the noise and rattles. #worthit
Step 2 is to immediately cover up all that sound deadening with a 1 piece carpet kit. I have ordered the same kit a bunch of times, it's not factory original but it does the trick. Simple un roll it and the form fitted rug slid right in place.
Step 3 Now that I have a nice soft place to lay down, I can install a new steering column. I had to cut the stock steering shaft and modify the new column with some adaptors but it all worked out in the end.
Step 4 Lastly I laid out my el cheepo wiring harness I bought off Amazon. Bezos hasn't steered my wrong yet! The universal kit is easy to install and controls everything I need. A simple 12 circuit kit is all that's needed for this unit.
Pretty close to having a fully functional car!
