We pick up in the devastating aftermath of the Shivan bombardment that obliterated Vasuda Prime, the Vasudan homeworld. At the center of the destruction? The Lucifer—a seemingly unstoppable capital ship and the most terrifying threat the Terran-Vasudan alliance has ever faced.

With the alliance reeling, the mission shifts to survival. We’re launched into a barrage of rescue and escort operations as what's left of our forces scramble to defend the remaining jump nodes still under our control. Amidst the chaos, new technologies emerge. Advanced ships and weapons are being fast-tracked into service, and all eyes are on the arrival of the Medusa Bombers, capable of carrying the devastating Harbinger bombs—our one potential edge against the Shivan menace.

As the Shivans press closer to Sol, Earth itself teeters on the edge of annihilation. In a final act of desperation, the alliance identifies a weakness in the Shivan blockade centered on the Cain-class cruiser Zenith. A bold strike is launched, risking everything to reach a group of rogue scientists who claim they’ve uncovered a way to fight back.

The tide may yet turn... but time is running out.
