THIS NIB HAS BEEN HEAVILY TUNED
Out of the box, it was more of a double broad than an italic music nib, and it had a habit of hard starting one of the tines. Some extensive grinding has turned it into a nice crisp italic flex nib and a nice broad reverse.
I don't think I'd recommend the pen unless you're willing to re-grind the nib. It felt very similar to the old noodlers music nib out of the box. But if you've got some micro mesh and sandpaper and an hour or two of patience, this thing writes like nothing else south of $800.
