"The Pro Breaking Tour is a series of professional competitions in breaking. The Tour was launched in January of 2014 and through its first five years has hosted roughly 200 prize money breaking competitions in the United States, Canada and parts of Europe.
Today, the Pro Breaking Tour features thousands of registered competitors and two tiers of events: Champions Series (the top tier events) and Challenger Series (2nd tier).

The Champions Series events are the Silverback Open Championships in Philadelphia the Freestyle Session World Finals, which rotates between Los Angeles, San Diego, and Japan. The 2019 Challenger Series includes nine events, City of Excellence (NYC), United Styles (Boston), Culture of 4 (San Diego), Massive Monkeys Day (Seattle), Style Elements (San Jose), SPIN LAS Vegas (Vegas), F.A.M. Fest (Miami), BBOYCITY (Austin), Temple Rock (Orlando). "

"In 2013, Bboy Silverback partnered with Cros1 of Freestyle Session to form both UDEF and the Pro Breaking Tour, which was formally launched in January 2014.

The idea Silverback and Cros1 had for the Pro Breaking Tour was to provide the breaking community with a well-organized series of prize money breaking competitions, which would attract a general audience following online and in-person, appealing to major corporate sponsors, media partners, and broadcasters, bringing an infusion of capital into a community in need of capital.

The objective has been to create a mini-industry and job-producing ecosystem around breaking, with the Tour’s prize money events being the initial magnet to attract corporate, media and spectator interest in breaking.

UDEF is a non-profit entity and a 501(c)3 public charity with a board comprised of breakers, event organizers, business people, and lawyers with domain expertise in various areas, including corporate law, intellectual property matters, and labor law. The Pro Breaking Tour is wholly-owned by UDEF through a taxable subsidiary. "
