This was the first day of the Fall Arch Rally 2025 with the Natural Arch and Bridge Society. The rally was centered around Hill City, in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The hike for this first day was to Elkhorn Arch, which involved parking along Highway 244 and scrambling cross-country through the forest and up rocky slopes to reach the ridge where the arch is located. Our guides for the hike were Dan Klein and Aaron (AJ) Miller. We had assistance from Alex Sanchez for measuring the arch.
