The video is about the hip examination for postgraduate orthopedic exams, part 1.
The instructor introduces himself and three other mentors to go through the basic system of examination of the hip.
The instructor gives an opening statement for introducing oneself and what to say to the patient, asking them to remove their trousers, socks, and shoes, and to hand over their shoes, and asking if they have any walking aids.
The instructor then goes through the examination, including looking for external and internal heel raise, medial arch support, and undue wear pattern of one foot over the other.
The statement for introducing oneself and asking the patient to remove their clothes and shoes is useful for examining other lower limbs.
