London To Swansea Train Journey | Great Western Railway Class 800 Bi-Mode Train

Join me on a train journey from London Paddington to Swansea, travelling with Great Western Railway onboard a Class 800 bi-mode train.

This journey takes us out of the capital, through the west of England, and into South Wales, covering a distance of around 220 miles in approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes.

Along the way, we call at stations including Reading, Swindon, Bristol Parkway, Newport, Cardiff Central, and more. I also share my thoughts on the onboard experience, including seating comfort, ride quality, cleanliness, and catering.

I was travelling on a SailRail ticket, which covered my journey from London to Swansea, onward to Fishguard, and the ferry crossing to Ireland.
