In tonights episode we stop at a town called Wandoan - location 406km NW of Brisbane.
Wandoan was formerly known as Juandah and is located on the Leichhardt Highway about halfway between Taroom and Miles. It is the centre for the local cattle industry.
We learnt about Mick the lifesaving dog and read the stories along the Avenue of Honour about our Ex-servicemen who won a ballot to obtain land through the Soldier Settler Scheme between 1952 and 1954.
At our Freecamp we were entertained by fellow travelers playing their banjos.
