During a weeklong driving tour in October 2022, my wife and I, along with four other couples, traveled through Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont and Upstate New York. Among the highlights of our trip were enchanting visits to the home of Franklin D. Roosevelt, the Culinary Institute of America and the Kykuit Estate of the Rockefellers. Unfortunately, photography was not allowed inside Kykuit. As a welcome bonus, the areas around Saranac Lake, Lake George and Lake Placid treated us to some awesome fall colors. The fall colors photos taken through a car’s windshield were contributed by Ellen L.
