Cloud gaming, sometimes called gaming on demand or gaming-as-a-service, is a term used to describe any game service which permits players to gain access and play virtual video games over a live streamed connection. The goal of Cloud Gaming technology is to allow players to retrieve gaming content without having the over head of downloading and storing the game onto any device they own. Ideally, cloud gaming will, potentially, end with the need for a powerful machine to access high quality video gaming content. By having games streamed to your computer/console instead of downloaded, any old or new device can be turned into a top-tier gaming platform, so long as they have a decent connection to the internet.
