What's in a name? For those with an ethnic-sounding name, constantly correcting individuals who mispronounce it can lead to stress and cause "emotional labour."
This issue is not unique to visible minorities, but these microaggressions can act as an obstruction and additional challenge for people of colour experiencing normal integration in North American society.
