The Viscounts - Hully Gully (1962) (Poor Quality)

Bit of a random upload. I gotta say, i love this band! These tracks are... OK! But I gotta say, these are nothing compared to their jazz pieces. Harlem Nocturne, The Touch (Le Grisbi), Summertime. All of them are really good! That sax player, Harry A. Haller Jr is Legendary !!!

I have another track from them that I should get soon, ("Enchanted Sea" originally by Martin Denny(?)) and that should hopefully show them off in a better light, I predict it will be similar to their Harlem Nocturne-like tracks. These guys are the Cécile & Venice of the 60s in my opinion. Really cool style, really mysterious. Nothing exists quite like them.

I did theorise (its a shit theory, really...) But "Moonlight Rendez-vous" from Justice sounds kinda similar. A lot of people think The Viscounts have a sort of "Twin Peaks" (Angelo Badalamenti) sound to them, and Moonlight Rendez-vous" Definitely is inspired by the Twin Peaks score. Sooo... if you like Moonlight, youll probably love Harlem Nocturne form The Vis.

I hope to actually rip this 45 properly one day, I hate uploading in this quality lol, but I have no idea when I'll get the equipment for vinyl ripping and I really want this in my YouTube playlist. More of a selfish upload. Sorry guys!
