Dungeon Defenders - Emerald City Nightmare Campaign 4p and 6p

Why I Play Emerald City (combat ~9m, total ~13m)
Another map that absolutely intimidated me. I often got lost in the buildings, and I just couldn't find a groove that worked. I then watched a Slenderman video (   • Видео  ) and tried it. I failed a few times and completed it a few times, but I felt I was constantly on the verge of failure. The build just wasn't as chill as I wanted it to be. I personally hate my crystal's being hit even though I may still win at the end. It's just a me thing, honestly. After many more failed runs, I finally settled on a build that is chill enough for me. The crystal doesn't get hit, and I feel I can consistently complete it without issues 4-player or 6-player.

So why even play this map if it is such a pain? For the Emerald Staff. An excellent DPS or builder weapon for the Apprentice with a move speed bonus. Also, the emerald accessories are pretty cool looking.

This video shows a 4-player run and a 6-player run using heroes from my alt account. I use two DPS Apprentices. The main one has an Apprentice guardian. The other has a Huntress Guardian and stands by the seed bomb towers during the boss fight. The heroes I bring in on my alt account are my builder Apprentice and my Adept Upgrader with a Monk Guardian. The guardian isn't really necessary.

This video is made for myself to reference as I often forget builds. I do take my time so that I can actually see what I'm doing. This is a variation of a build made by Slenderman, a better, faster, and more skilled player than me. Lastly, the build does use tower stacking. The stats I have in the video aren't hard requirements, and this map can be completed with lower stats.

It's a great summary of things a lot of new players would miss. The comments are worth reading as well and are mostly from extremely active members of the DDRnG discord group.

4.) If you don't have the game, buy the Ultimate Edition as well as the Hermit DLC. The Hermit DLC was introduced in the summer of 2023 and is not included in the ultimate edition of the game. Hermit is a great character, and many of his towers have uses on almost every map.
