Highlights from Lucy Landymore's performance of the Emmanuel Séjourné marimba concerto.
Lucy performs on marimba together with the Vienna Classical Players, for a live concert in the beautiful @ImagoDei2011.
Emmanuel Sejourne’s Concerto for Marimba and Strings was commissioned by Bogdan Bacanu and written in 2005. The first movement features a grand opening cadenza and a slower tempo, followed by more energy and flashy playing in the second movement. Influences of jazz and flamenco can be heard throughout this brilliant work.
