A few ideas here to improve the installation of your pocket doors. In theory pocket doors should be cool! Using bad hardware and floppy framing makes them NOT cool. Here are a few ideas to improve your install.
1. Good hardware
2. Good framing (we use LVL studs here)
3. Meticulous install.
We are using Hafele Hawa Junior 80z hardware and track with the SoftMove closer:
