Authentic Chicago & Northwestern! - Unboxing and Product Review of Tangent's HO Scale Caboose CNW!
International Car Company built 100 cabooses for the Chicago & Northwestern in 1966 and 1968, in two separate 50 car orders.
These were among the last cabooses built for the CNW. They were originally delivered in red paint.
This model, CNW 11190, represents a car from the 1968 order that was modernized in 1981 in the CNW’s Clinton, Iowa shops.
The cars were extensively rebuilt, and emerged in Zito Yellow paint with the CNW ball and bar logo and flag.
This very well done model matches photos of the real CNW 11190 as well as other similar CNW cabooses.
Like other Tangent HO scale cabooses, this car has lighting that is controlled with an included magnetic wand. It works on both DC and DCC powered track, and requires no programming.
As usual, Dan evaluates the car's packaging, prototype accuracy, paint & detail, and how well it operates and conforms to applicable standards.
If you're a fan of the CNW, cabooses, or just trains in general be sure to check out this unboxing and product review!
