The Thailand Xball League began as part of the growing competitive paintball scene in Southeast Asia. Its formation reflects the region’s shift from casual bush-style paintball to formalised tournament formats (such as speedball / X-Ball) that emphasise fast play, spectator-friendly layouts and professional structure. While I couldn’t locate an exact founding date, the TXBL has become a recognised international event in the region.

In early 2025, TXBL made headlines when it held a major round from February 21–23, 2025 right on the beach in Pattaya — specifically at Jomtien Beach in Pattaya, Thailand.

The event featured multiple divisions (Division 1, 2, 3) with varying match-lengths (12, 10, 8 minutes) using the X-Ball format.

This beach-side location gave TXBL a unique twist and helped raise the profile of the league, drawing teams from around the Asia-Pacific region.

Today the TXBL is organised, professional and growing. It uses standardised match formats and divisions, clearly defined event dates and venue details, and is actively promoted through social media and paintball-league websites.

The beach round in Pattaya in 2025 is a strong example of how TXBL is evolving and expanding the appeal of tournament paintball beyond traditional fields. The series now serves both local teams and international entrants, blending competition with an event atmosphere and unique venue experiences.

In short, the Thailand Xball League has grown from regional beginnings into a well-organised, internationally-conscious tournament series. With rounds like the one in Pattaya in 2025, TXBL is proving that paintball can be not only athletic and tactical, but also visually exciting and event-centric — a sign of the sport’s continuing evolution in the Asia-Pacific region.
