So. Customer called me the following day and told me the car ran beautifully and was very happy with everything! She is taking it out of town. I’m sure she’ll let me know if all goes well and I know it will and told her to make sure to keep me posted! I will definitely keep you updated as well! Throttlebody cleaning must’ve done wonders! Was very pleased and this is not an easy job. Be very safe if you plan on doing it and careful with that throttle please it’s not something I recommend unless you do have a scan tool and have a back up in case you can’t get it to relearn I was able to get it to relearn itself without having to do anything with programming! I just took it for a drive maybe 50 miles tops. It had some kinks but they worked itself out. Then it drove beautifully. It did take about 50 miles or so to be perfect. But it’s getting better every second. She contacted me the following day to let me know it was perfect and the best the car has ever driven. That’s a good thing if you’re a mechanic. Either way. I will update you once I get the car back and get my scan tool back on it so I can re-read all the codes but this is a pretty informational video I hope it helps and definitely should teach you quite a bit. Attention. “YOU DO NOT” have to have a shop reprogram your throttlebody despite the fact they will tell you that. I just proved it. You must follow the procedure exactly and the battery must be disconnected and be very gentle. I suggest to always have that as a back up in case some reason you can’t get it to work right. DO NOT push on that electronic throttle plate hard or smack that spring LOAD back-and-forth! Also. you can only open it in One Direction to clean it!! IF YOU DO NOT PAT ATTENTION YOUR IN TEOUBLE AND BUYING A NEW THROTTLE BODY!!! If you don’t know what you’re doing. DO NOT, PLEASE DO NOT attempt this repair. You should be qualified tech.
